  • The Mindfulness for Medical Trainees program is a psychiatrist-led, 8-week group psychotherapy program to help medical trainees in British Columbia (medical students and medical residents) build evidence-based mindfulness skills to help manage anxiety, mood changes, and other challenges associated with medical training.
  • The program is available virtually across British Columbia.
  • The program is free for all medical students and medical residents based in BC with MSP coverage and a referral from their primary care provider.

This evidence-based mindfulness curriculum was developed by a UBC-trained psychiatrist specifically for medical students and residents.

Grounded in principles from mindful self-compassion (MSC), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), this customized mindfulness training is designed to be both supportive and practical as you navigate the unique challenges of medical training.
